I feel compelled to write a review to counter the dreadful reviews I read here before I joined. I'm so impressed, my expectations have been exceeded and I couldn't be happier! I go to Moberley and Porchester so my comments are about those two centres.
The staff have always been really helpful, cheerful and competent as I've navigated my way around a new gym. The swimming pools and changing areas are fabulous - clean, a great temperature, not crowded. I've only used the gym and done classes at Moberley, but the exercise rooms are spacious, flooded with natural light, well equipped and with excellent air conditioning so it feels cool and also safe in terms of not breathing in another person's Covid. There is good attention to keeping equipment wiped down after use.
The app is a great way to book classes - it did take a bit of effort to learn how to use it, but the 'app guide and how to's' showed me what to do. My only comment would be that I'd like it to also show the name of the teacher of the class as well as the other info. I love the way it then puts your booking straight into your calendar.
I might sometimes miss the fluffy white towels at Virgin Active where I went before, but this gym membership is fantastic value for money and I really couldn't be happier.

I have been supported by my carer Martin king he's been very helpful so has the team but I get left out slot but I do enjoy my squash.

Took my daughter here and signed in with the car reg on the system, been doing it a while so no wha I am doing, a few weeks later get a parking enforcement letter. Called the centre and advised to contact civil enforcement which I did an appealed it, also sent my booking confirmation of the day we attended which had times dates etc. advised had to pay it but reduced rate as car ref put in wrong or not at all. Called centre and after about the 10th time go someone to actually pick the phone up and advised nothing they can do. Even though they have proof in the app of my booking, dates times etc. Awful service won’t be attending again here or elsewhere.

My son attends swimming lessons here and they are dreadful. The next nearest one to me is a 25 min drive - then include rush hour traffic.
These lessons are a 30 minute window - allot the five mins for the intro and end walk. It’s a very money oriented practice with up to ten lessons a time in the main pool. The teachers spend a lot of their time talking to eachother as the coloured classes are so close together. Hardly any interaction with the children - or that could be because there’s up to 16 children a class - that’s the most I’ve seen. Average is 8-12. For the money I let my son go to enjoy himself because he sure as hell isn’t learning any swimming techniques.

TERRIBLE WEBSITE!

Facilities are fine BUT booking those facilities is a total nightmare.

The website on mobile is frustratingly VERY difficult to navigate to find the activity you wish to book. I log in and eventually find activity (Ashby Lido). I attempt to book, it asks me to log in again ... I do so but it take me back to the home/landing page & I cannot find my booking. Again it's NOT AT ALL user friendly in finding my booking (if I click on my profile, you'd think it's in there, it's not!

Go to menu > Book / Pay... Nope not in there either!

Somehow manage to find upcoming bookings but then it's not clear how to pay!

Once booked, I wanted to check it ACTUALLY booked but finding the booking is not user friendly either. The booking (not at my 'home centre') isn't logged in 'Today's Activities' on my dashboard.

EVENTUALLY find my bookings under Menu >Book/Pay > Upcoming Bookings!

It's ridiculously unintuitive!

The booking then does not show WHERE I have booked...,. Showing;

I've had this before where I've thought I've booked one centre, only to get there & find I had booked a different centre for swimming ... Disappointing this kids & leaving us with nothing else to do that day.

And when are you going to go back to being able to just turn up for swimming?

It's RIDICULOUS that we now only get 50mins to 1hour in the pool. Not saying we want to spend all day in the pool but the pre-pandemic system of just turning up is FAR better. Especially when your website booking & page navigation is so difficult & time consuming! And I'm pretty tech savvy!

Haven’t been to Aqua Aerobics for a while due to Covid concerns. Decided to go last Friday and was so glad I did. The lady gave us a good work out that anyone would be able to manage. Definitely going back and hopefully bring some friends too.

My recent visit to the north Solihull gym was really good…staff were really good and very polite and helpful…gym is also very good and has plenty of different items to use and also very clean and looked after…..my only issue is there is nowhere to leave your bike in a safe place really and as a keen cyclist it’s a bit of an issue…if the gym had some kind of bike shed with a roof it would be a great addition…

I use Wythenshawe Forum gym for the pool and find the facilities very good. The gym offers excellent value for money too.

I had a lovely swim at Peckham Pulse; the water was warm enough, there were lockable lockers and I was able to have a warm shower afterwards.

I use the swimming pool and gym, COVID 19 is taken seriously as they make everyone spray down the machines before and after use

Adult swimming lessons. Clean, pleasanteisure centre. Staff very helpful. Changing area appeared clean. Nice clean pool with excellent facilities for disabled people. I felt that lessons could be more structured, hence the 4 stars, not 5.

I've been going to the gym and swim now for nearly 3 weeks, the staff and the pt's are very helpful, plenty of equipment to use and very clean, I love going down 10/10

I feel so glad to live near to this great local amenity. I have lived in the area long enough to remember no leisure Centre. The pool is good, staff are friendly and helpful, my classes, aqua, Pilates and stretch have really excellent experienced teachers and over the last few years I have improved my strength and mobility.

Love this gym because its clean and spacious with a great team of staff.
